Founded in 2016, the Hong Kong Cruise & Yacht Industry Association (HKCYIA) is headquartered at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. As a non-profit organization, it is dedicated to promoting and developing Hong Kong’s cruise and yacht industry. HKCYIA has been committed to injecting new vitality into Hong Kong’s cruise and yacht sector, collaborating closely with various yacht companies, educating and training the next generation, and encouraging them to join this dynamic and promising industry.

Minimalist Streamlined Design, Free from Superfluous Ornamentation
To boost its visibility and influence in Hong Kong, HKCYIA aimed to build an international, large-scale brand image, akin to that of major organizations such as airports or convention and exhibition centers. The establishment of this brand image is intended to help more people understand the association’s mission and values, and attract more outstanding talents and partners.
Thus, in the LOGO design, we crafted the left side into an element of a ship's bow sailing on the sea, symbolizing the spirit of progress and adventure. The right side features a wave pattern, representing boundless possibilities and driving force.
This design seeks to embody the association’s core value of being closely connected with the ocean and nature, and emphasizes respect and protection for the environment; it breaks the boundaries between humans and the environment through diverse design perspectives.
Unveiling the Art of the Ocean
Stepping into the exhibition hall, the first thing that strikes you is undoubtedly the color blue. We draw inspiration from the ocean, conveying emotions through the imagery of water and offering a new interpretation of ordinary days.
For the business card design, we added golden diagonal patterns, symbolizing sunlight shining on the vessels and endowing the brand with vitality and a positive image. These golden diagonals are crafted with gold foil stamping technology, making them more prominent and eye-catching on the cards.
Business and Creativity in Parallel, a Powerful Catalyst for Vitality: We believe that the parallel development of business and creativity is an effective catalyst for vitality, and we aim to foster an inclusive mindset for embracing new things and choices through our innovative design. This philosophy is fully embodied in our web design for HKCYIA.

Inheriting Maritime Glory, Sailing Toward a New Future: We adopted an aerial photograph of a cruise ship for HKCYIA, cropped into the shape of the brand LOGO. This design not only showcases the association’s professionalism and elegance, but also conveys its inclusiveness and creativity.
The application of these design elements forges a striking, vibrant and professional brand image — one that showcases HKCYIA’s international standing and communicates its core values and mission.
