Great design responds to modern lifestyles, honors traditions, materials and craftsmanship, and is attuned to the natural world — only then can it create solutions for contemporary regional design.
BRAND CONCEPT
LOCI is an interior design firm founded by a dual-practitioner of interior design and architecture.
The brand name LOCI derives from Latin, meaning "the spirit of a place". It embodies the firm’s core philosophy: designers must first understand the spiritual essence of a building, land development or interior design project — including its culture, geographical context and humanistic connotations — then infuse the creation with the founder’s unique creative vision.

Every Space Holds a Unique Meaning
Following in-depth communication with the founder, we developed two design proposals, with the final LOGO scheme selected as shown below.
The core concept is rooted in the firm’s design philosophy: by deeply understanding the client and local cultural atmosphere, the designer fuses authentic regional elements with their own unique interpretation, imbuing minimalism with profound meaning and unlocking infinite creative possibilities — thus manifesting the design ethos of the LOCI team.
The LOGO is crafted with geometric shapes and red dots to form the word LOCI: Neutral gray represents the foundation of the geographical environment, nature and minimalism; Two horizontal red dots symbolize the firm’s two founders. The word LOCI emerges through the subtle addition and subtraction of these geometric elements.
The consistent line weight throughout the design embodies LOCI’s rigor and professional ethics in the fields of architecture and interior design. The striking contrast between red and light gray expresses bold innovation in design, extending the ideals of modernist design.
Every space unfolds its unique meaning before the designer — it is always a one-of-a-kind landmark. Whether it is the rough texture of stone or a doorway, the flickering embers of a fireplace inside a home, or the transition from darkness to light, all these details become inspiration for interior design.
After successfully transforming minimalist geometric patterns into the intellectual word "LOCI", we further refined the LOGO. Through deliberate addition and subtraction in the design, we endow it with cultural symbolic meaning, embody the design philosophy of "form follows function", and highlight the primacy of functionality in design.
Drawing Inspiration from the Traces of Nature
In creating the graphic design, our focus was to express the brand’s identity and core attributes. We drew inspiration from the earthen elements of Stonehenge, endowing the entire LOGO design with a stronger corporate image and a sense of stability. The sense of space and balance created by the negative space between the two red dots perfectly reflects the seamless collaboration and shared vision of the two founders.
In the distant Stone Age, early humans found shelter in caves. Today, the sense of security that caves bring is still deeply embedded in the human gene. We aim to evoke this same feeling of being embraced by heaven and earth through the imagery of Stonehenge in the design. The seemingly random and natural texture of rock is, in fact, the designer’s expression of the very existence of space.
The illustrative style of Stonehenge in the design is a subtle nod to the sketching process inherent in the architecture industry — it symbolizes time and history, human civilization, and the harmonious integration of people, nature and craftsmanship. This imagery aligns perfectly with LOCI’s core meaning of "the spirit of a place".
Being a Guide to the Spirit of Place
For interior designers, the design and even renovation process can be a labor of love, demanding meticulous attention to every detail that is both arduous and deeply rewarding.錙銖必定是辛苦的,但一切也是很值得。
Every creative professional must engage in on-the-ground interaction with the people of the region they are designing for — only through such connection can they draw genuine inspiration. As a guide to the spirit of place, direct contact with the end users allows for the simultaneous output of design ideas and reception of feedback, making the creative process truly meaningful.
